guess who’s back???

Hi faithful blog-readers! Sorry for *disappearing* for so long. it’s been a while since i was not playng with FB and felt motivated to write. haha! here are some updates for those of you interested:

1) EAW (short for Employee Appreciation Week) 2007 is over. Finally! The games that i was in charge off were done nicely and now all that’s left to tie up is the ‘appreciation’ lunch/dinner. Looking forward to meeting with the Games comm again. Really fun, nice and happening bunch of folks that i enjoyed bitching and laughing with. *grins* and you never knew guys could bitch so much! =p

oh the wealth of things u learn abt the company when u spend time with ppl who’ve been around longer than you….

2) I’m getting very bored with my job. Work is piling up but there’s no motivation to really accomplish anything great. Am I the only one feeling this way?

give me something to be excited abt pls…

3) FB has been rather unexpectedly entertaining. Those of you who have FB and haven’t added me pls do so…. then i can have more poke buddies and people to send yummy pastries/fish/hugs to. haha.

it’s amazing how FB has become such a phenomenon that even the old ppl in my office are talking about it. smile. wonder if it’ll just become the next bubble tea/rotiboy/donut….

4) I’ve been toying with the idea of doing editorial/journalism work part-time/freelance. this is purely interest and i haven’t thought about how it could possibly fit into my ‘life’ at the moment but I really would like to find out how magazines tick to give you the $5 mountain of tips and trends that we brandish with such flair every month. Also not sure if my writing skills are up to the tee…. =S

if anyone has lobangs, give me a heads up. I would be really interested. Thanks!

5) O Levels has started…. wow. so fast. I’m so excited. and gan cheong too…. For my girls, tho’ u wld likely never see this but ALL THE BEST!!! I’m praying for you!!! Do well n make me proud yea?

Lastly… just as some icing on the cake, here’s a bunch of fun stuff to while away the time and bring a grin to break the mundane drudgery of the slightly-past-midweek-syndrome…

9 Things I Just Can’t Stand

1. People who point at their wrist while asking for the time…. I know where my watch is pal, where the hell is yours?

2 People who are willing to get off their butts to search the entire room for the T.V. remote because they refuse to walk to the T.V. and change the channel manually.

3 When people say “Oh you just want to have your cake and eat it too”. Damn right! What good is cake if you can’t eat it?

4 When people say “it’s always the last place you look”. Of course it is. Why the hell would you keep looking after you’ve found it? Do people do this? Who and where are they?

5 When people say while watching a film “did you see that?”. No Duh, I paid $9 to come to the cinema and stare at the damn floor.

6 People who ask “Can I ask you a question?”…. Didn’t really give me a choice there, did ya?

7. When something is ‘new and improved!’ Which is it? If it’s new, then there has never been anything before it. If it’s an improvement, then there must have been something before it, couldn’t be new.

8 When people say “life is short”. What the hell?? Life is the longest thing anyone ever does!! What can you do that’s longer?

9 When you are waiting for the bus and someone asks “Has the bus come yet?”. If the bus came would I be standing here….?
